North to Kilkenny

After leaving Tintern Abbey, we headed to Hook Head Lighthouse. The medieval lighthouse dates back to the 13th century!

We planned on visiting Dunbrody Castle, but it was closed for renovations.

On the way to Kilkenny, we found the quaint little village of Inistioge. It had a beautiful 18th century bridge, still being used, several ruins and a fantastic little restaurant.

Jerpoint Abbey was one of the highlights of the entire trip! The Abbey dates back to the 12th century, and has some of the most amazing carvings.

We ended the day in Kilkenny with a couple pints of Guinness and a good night's sleep.
